Stage drop and folding parachute rescue 2022

Our paragliders and Paramotors can be equipped with an emergency parachute giving a second chance to the unfortunate or careless pilot.

Having a parachute is good, but knowing how to use it is better.

Every year, we organize at least one parachute dropping and folding session allowing registered pilots to familiarize themselves with the dropping gestures, the stress generated by this type of situation and the parachute folding techniques.

We have a large zip line of more than 300 meters intended for dropping parachutes, a gymnasium to fold them up, professional supervision provided by a state-certified paragliding instructor and paramotor instructor.

First session after two years of Covid

During our dropping and folding course on April 9, 2022, 14 pilots came to test their equipment.

The group had an appointment at 7:30 a.m. for a briefing recalling the gestures and behavior to adopt during a parachute drop.

All the parachutes opened, thus validating the seriousness with which they had been folded during the previous session.

After the emotions of the drop, each pilot folded his rescue following the experienced advice of Michel Schatz who has been supervising this type of training since 2001.

The course ended with a convivial meal and a debriefing.
